At Electrify, we've learnt to be really adaptable during the current Covid-19 crisis, and our work with the SPFL Trust is just one example of that in action.

Our Trusted to Support campaign launched at the end of March, and continues to run today. The main idea of the campaign is to (very simply) highlight the outstanding efforts of clubs and their trusts across Scotland during this time of crisis.

Trusted to Support is a message we have used with the SPFL Trust for some time, and it will feature more prominently when we re-launch the charity's brand later this year.

This project was a good way of again showing how clubs' are able to mobilise and motivate to make a difference when it's needed.

We built a new campaign page on the SPFL Trust's website to collate all the activity taking place; this is regularly updated as a reference point for all to see the breadth of work.

Our creative team designed a campaign logo for Trusted to Support, and built a range of moving and static social graphics to help bring the theme to life.

We also reached out to the people involved in activities, conducting Zoom interviews, which we have edited using new technology to include the video and key headlines as part of the same piece of content.

Over 15 interviews have been conducted with clips added most days to the SPFL Trust's social channels, giving clubs (particularly those with limited communications resource) a real voice.

The clubs interviewed to date are a mix from across the SPFL, with Aberdeen, Celtic, Rangers, Hearts and Hibs from the Premiership, Dundeefrom the Championship, Airdrieonians and Falkirk from League One, and Stenhousemuir from League two.

Our Electrify team have managed all aspects of the campaign from idea generation, media relations and content creation, this has included:

  • Main 'Trusted to Support' website page to document activity
  • A suite of moving and static graphics to support social media interaction
  • Video interviews performed remotely to help clubs and trusts to tell their story first-hand
  • Significant media coverage with over 15 (and counting) pieces covering clubs, trusts andSPFL Trust

The results have been exceptional, with a significant increase across all available metrics, including traffic, engagement, click-through, and new followers across social channels.

This has in turn encouraged interaction between clubs, trusts and SPFL Trust to continue to back the campaign for as long as COVID-19 community support is needed.

Media coverage has included Sky Sports, STV, and the Daily Record with plenty of local coverage in both broadcast and print with Kingdom FM, The Press and Journal, and The Courier.
