Over the last couple of months we’ve been working with McEwan Fraser Legal on our #HomeRun promotion, this week finishing up in the Highlands with Inverness, much to the delight of Caley Thistle fans.
McEwan Fraser Legal sponsor three clubs. Along with Inverness, the solicitors and estate agents are also main club sponsor at Dundee and Dundee United.
All three participated in #HomeRun which saw first team players or the manager hand deliver the club’s new shirt to supporters in their own homes.
For each #HomeRun, Electrify worked with the club to draw out winners, plan a route, and create, publish and curate social content.
Additionally, we worked with The Courier, Evening Telegraph, Highland News and Inverness Courier to place content in each newspaper’s outlet.
Each night was memorable in its own way with surprises a plenty. Dundee United manager Ray McKinnon Facetimed the son of one of the winners in a surprise middle-of-the-night call to Australia.
Cammy Kerr added to his cult hero status as “one of their own” for Dundee with his brilliant Carpool Karaoke effort.
Whilst Caley Thistle’s Lewis Horner ended up in little Lyle’s tunnel in the garden after he asked him to play.
The purpose of the promotion was to introduce McEwan Fraser Legal to each of the club’s supporters, and to start a process of meaningful and engaging activity which reflects the brand’s commitment to, “think differently”.
Part of that was measured in significant social engagement online - supporters viewing, liking, & sharing imaginative content.
As you can see from the gallery above, we got off to a good start!
And this is just the start! We've now launched a competition for supporters to design the cover of the matchday programme at each of the clubs, and have several other unique engagement campaigns to come.
